Theluxury Stary Hotel of Krakow from the Likus Hotels and Restaurants group, emerged as the winner of the most prestigious category as a result of voting done by the hotel professionals. The vice-director of the hotel, Anna Okrajni, said at the award ceremony: “In our opinion, the Tophotel 2008 award is above all a recognition of a brand product that has been created. We are happy even more, because of the fact that the award has been given by the hotel industry, which means the best experts on the hotel market. The hotel design was an attempt to create an exceptional place, which thanks to a perfect combination of history and comfort, and especially thanks to the way we care for our guests, will stand out not only on the Polish market.
Here, with the form, they can reach beyond the material, beyond what could be seen – it says on our website. And there is something to it, because tending to the wishes of a demanding customer of a five star hotel is a big challenge; you have to be able to predict his needs, even before the guest himself will notice them. In Poland there are not very many boutique style hotels, which offer services on an international level. We are convinced that the logo of Likus Hotels and Restaurants group, to which Stary Hotel belongs, is becoming a recognized one, all over the world and always linked with the highest quality.”
The Tophotel award is given by Netmedia SA. Thousands of reservations are made every month on the Hotele.pl website, which belongs to this company. Every internet user has a chance to express their opinion, which then is taken into consideration while nominating the hotels for the award, it is because the Tophotel award is really given to hotels by their guests.
This time, additionally, two special awards were distributed – Tophotel Partner for the best business partner and Tophotel 2008, this time for Hotel Stary from Krakow, which for the best hotel in the 2008 year was awarded by other hotels, also nominated for the awards.
Tophotel awards were given in 20 categories.
