The book came about as part of the PAH Pajacyk program to provide 40,000 meals. The most talented chefs from the best Polish restaurants, including Dariusz Barański, agreed to share their closely guarded culinary secrets in order to encourage those present to buy the book, with all of the proceeds going to feed children in need.
So which recipes did the head chef of Acquario include? This question even intrigued Robert Sowa, representative of the Chefs’ Club Foundation – honorary patron of the book. During the meeting in Empik in Warsaw, he asked who was responsible for the recipe for “black pudding” made with “really curious ingredients”… not only was Dariusz Barański called upon but the editor too – apparently he had called Dariusz in the middle of the night to see if he was being made the victim of a practical joke – but he wasn’t…
If you are interested in learning exactly which ingredients aroused such interest then please buy the book – especially since the proceeds go towards providing meals for children.
